The boxer twin — the brighter of the two heads of Gemini, Pollux was the immortal son of Zeus, the pugilist and fighter to his brother Castor's horseman and scholar. It sits in mid-Cancer in the tropical zodiac.

Pollux is a star of competitive spirit, courage, and forceful character. Its nature is Mars: combative, brave, sometimes harsh. Conjunctions to natal points give that point a fighter's heart — strength in contest, physical courage, and a willingness to stand and trade blows. It favors the athlete, the soldier, the competitor who will not yield.

The traditional reading carries the boxer's double edge: great courage and competitive success, but also a capacity for cruelty, rashness, or conflict if the Martian heat is not governed. Pollux asks that strength serve honor rather than mere domination.

Manifests as: competitive and physical courage, success in contest or combat, a forceful, contesting temperament — with the shadow of harshness and a taste for conflict.

Keywords: courage, competition, the fighter, force, contest, strength that must serve honor.
