The Mouth of the Southern Fish — a Royal Star of Persia, watcher of the South and the winter solstice in antiquity. Fomalhaut is the brightest star in Piscis Austrinus, and one of the very few first-magnitude stars in the southern zodiacal region. It sits in early Pisces in the tropical zodiac.
Fomalhaut is a star of fame through ideals, art, and the imagination. Its nature is Venus-Mercury: graceful, lyrical, magic-touched.
