The Little She-Goat — the brightest star in Auriga, the Charioteer, who in myth carries the goat Amalthea that nursed the infant Zeus. Capella is one of the brightest northern stars, golden and high overhead in winter. It sits in early Gemini in the tropical zodiac.

Capella is a star of curiosity, learning, and restless inquiry. Its nature is Mars-Mercury: inquisitive, quick, freedom-loving. Conjunctions to natal points fill that point with an insatiable appetite to know — to ask questions, explore, study, and move on. It loves novelty and resists confinement.

The traditional reading speaks of honor and wealth gained through a busy, inquiring mind, but warns of waste through restlessness — a tendency to scatter, to chase the next question before finishing the last. Channelled, Capella is the eternal student whose curiosity becomes mastery; unchannelled, it is endless distraction.

Manifests as: a probing, versatile intellect, love of learning and travel, eccentric or independent leanings, success through inquiry — with the shadow of restlessness and dispersal.

Keywords: curiosity, learning, inquiry, restlessness, the eternal student, freedom.
